Permit and Escort Manager

Larkin Express is seeking a Permit and Escort Manager to coordinate oversize and overweight permits and arrange qualified escorts for heavy haul shipments. Hands-on experience obtaining permits and hiring escorts is required.
Responsibilities
· Obtain and manage state and local oversize and overweight permits.
· Review routes, permit conditions, travel restrictions, and escort requirements before each move.
· Hire and schedule pilot cars, police escorts, and other required support.
· Verify escort qualifications and maintain a reliable network of providers.
· Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, customers, and permitting agencies to keep shipments moving.
· Resolve permit or escort changes quickly when schedules or routes change.
Qualifications
· Proven experience securing heavy haul permits across multiple states.
· Proven experience hiring and coordinating escorts for oversize loads.
· Strong knowledge of route restrictions, permit requirements, and heavy haul operations.
· Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple shipments and changing deadlines.
