Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (please be prepared to provide proof)
• Experience working with students with mild disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable adopting innovative instructional approaches
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead educator in a self-contained classroom, supporting students with mild disabilities
• Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress
• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction that meets unique student needs
• Monitor student progress and adapt strategies as necessary
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all school and district protocols
• Foster a positive, respectful, and structured learning environment
