Sushi Chef – High-End Omakase Restaurant | Boston, MA A high-end Japanese restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking a highly experienced Sushi Chef to join its team. This position is ideal for a skilled sushi professional with extensive authentic Omakase experience who takes pride in delivering exceptional food quality, craftsmanship, and guest service. Employment: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 12:00/1:00 PM–11:30 PM Responsibilities Prepare and plate sushi and other dishes served as part of the Omakase course Prepare and serve sushi directly to guests at the sushi counter Handle the full fish preparation process, including processing, cutting, and proper storage Prepare, cook, season, and maintain sushi rice at the appropriate temperature Adjust dishes and service according to guest preferences and the progression of the Omakase course Monitor food quality and inventory levels Maintain consistent quality in accordance with restaurant standards Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and work environment Follow all applicable food sanitation and safety requirements Collaborate closely with other kitchen staff on food preparation and daily kitchen operations Perform other duties related to sushi preparation and kitchen operations as needed Qualifications 10+ years of professional Sushi Chef experience – Required Professional experience preparing and serving Omakase – Required Ability to independently handle the full sushi preparation process, from fish preparation and slicing to sushi-making and guest service Strong knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation practices Strong teamwork and communication skills Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality If you are an experienced Sushi Chef with a strong background in authentic Omakase and are interested in bringing your skills to a high-end Japanese dining environment in Boston, we would be happy to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
